 Living with Yael, Doug and ShannaPra at Circle of Light are their seven wonderful animal companions. Christos and Angel are Yael and Doug's two Pomeranians (their children). The story of Christos and his remarkable transformation can be read below. Christos in his former vehicle was with Yael almost 15 years. In his new miniature body, he is already following Yael everywhere, and Angel is never seen far from Doug, including when sailing and kayaking!
And then comes the cat family of five. (1) Sweetheart (Sweetie) was Pra's gift to Shanna so that she would have a being to love in the physical. They share a remarkable companionship. (2) Her sister, Love Kitty (Lovie) is Doug's cat. She has eyes that are like looking into the deep pools of the cosmos. (3) Ariel, an anchor for the Archangel of the same name and the Angel of Yael and Doug's union, is everybody's kitty and the largest of the brood. These beautiful Ragdoll cats are now about six years old (summer 2009). Long ago we were told that the Rag Dolls were the Indigo children of the cat world, that they have a different DNA from other cats and that they have special abilities to communicate Love and open hearts. |

On May 30, 2006 we had the magnificent experience of watching while our Love Kitty gave birth to five beautiful kittens. Believe it or not, the animals arranged it! After many unsuccessful attempts on our part to find a Ragdoll daddy for our kitties, a beautiful orange and white traveler visited. Our Lovie chose to join with him, and then in appropriate time, she chose our kitchen counter to birth 5 adorable kittens with the three of us in attendance. She purred happily as we petted her throughout the birth, and we had the joy of watching these little bundles of Love grow.
Of this group of babies, we have (4)Desiree (Desi) here with us. She is orange with large circles on her back (appropriate for Circle of Light!). |

| Ah, and now... introducing ("squeak!") (5)Bliss, our shelter cat. Bliss has a body that says Ragdoll or Persian or something exotic. She is white with pale orange markings on her paws and tail and face. When we heard about her, Yael felt her communicating with her, and so, behold! she became part of the family. Bliss squeaks and is a lover who charms all of the wedding "lookers." Both Bliss and Desi vie for Yael's attention, and she does her best to divide it evenly. |

| In case you are wondering, we had to release our wonderful Magic Cat to the mysteries of the cosmos. After all the magnificent messages that became his book and our deep and abiding Love, and after making a transition from one old body to another beautiful one, Magic decided to leave Earth life completely and travel in the realms of Spirit. One night he simply did not come home and sent Messages that he was exploring in other realms and doing some preparation work for us. It was very difficult to release our image of him in a physical body, but we respect and honor the ways of Spirit and we know our Magic is never far from Circle of Light.! |

Now, you have the current line-up and perhaps you are ready for the story of our beloved Christos.
Christos has been with Yael for many years and has always been her constant companion, but his body had been challenging for some time. He had lost an eye and his hearing. His arthritis had progressed and his breathing had become a concern. Finally, he was diagnosed with leukemia. In a beautiful message to Yael, Christos revealed that the time was approaching for him to release this painful body, and to take on a new beautiful and lively body AND a new mission with Yael as well. What Christos described was a little miniature Pomeranian body that would be small enough for Yael to pick up and hold. He said that he would go everywhere with her as she steps more and more out into the world and he would open the hearts of everyone who would see him with her. Christos: "...what I ask of you is to lift beyond the vision of the physical and to see clearly with your heart Love’s miracle and its fluidity rise beyond the hall of mirrors that is the physical world. I want to teach you that life is freedom, that physicality is no more than an illusion. It is simply and truly a habit of the little mind. I am alive in Love’s freedom... I bring you with me that you might experience shaking off the dream, just as a dog body shakes off fleas, with great vigor, decisiveness and excitement... " He continued, "It is necessary to release this old shell that held all these perceptions of limitation and of pain... I wish to come to you in a tiny and perfect body because I am to be your antennae that reaches out for you into this greater experience of consiousness... I wish to reappear with you as one of those animals that can fit into your purse... I am with you and I'm not going anywhere. I shall be with you in another body shortly so I give you permission to relax and dance with it. I love keeping my name. Christos the Second is fine with me. I am firmly adamantly completely the same being and keeping this name is a reality statement. You will find that my new expression will bring you endless joy and remind you every moment to stay in your heart, to celebrate every moment life’s miracle." Before he left, Christos helped Yael find the perfect vehicle for him (Thank you, God, for the internet!) and then requested that he be assisted to leave. His old body was buried in our pet cemetery and on Monday July 27, Christos in his new baby body traveled from Mississippi and Doug picked up a little bouncy bundle of Love at the airport. He is six months old and weighs three pounds and will not grow larger. Right now he is between his baby coat and his new Pomeranian coat, and he is a running, dancing, jumping expression of joy every minute! The final test that Christos was Christos (!) came with Angel. Angel is very protective and never allows another dog into our yard without grand and loud protest. When Christos II arrived, she sniffed him a few times but uttered nary a word, and from day one, they slept on the bed together with Yael and Doug. He was recognized and accepted! There have been times when Miss Angel isn't sure she wants a bouncing ball brother and nudges him away, but it is clear that she knows who he is. It was also very amusing to see Christos II grab Yael's socks from the kitchen floor and carry them into the bedroom, just as his predecessor always did with her shoes at the end of a wedding. The cats were initially quite afraid of this strange tiny new beast in perpetual motion but now everyone is settling in. We offer a few early pictures of our new wonderful three pound baby! |

Yael on Animal Communication
I believe that my communication with animals and with nature is a natural result of a consistent practice of meditation. It is something that everyone can accomplish by truly stilling the mind and opening the heart. As meditation quiets the mind, it gives the opportunity to see and hear other things besides our internal dialog. Then we can hear the communication with all life. I believe that all of the living, glorious conscious universe is there for any who decide to listen. However, listening takes practice and dedication. Like all humans, I am still practicing. I still struggle with my "programming" too, sometimes assuming these things can't be true until proven, even while my whole being is telling me it is true! As this transformation moves forward, it will be important to realize that we share the experience. We share our lives with an array of conscious beings who are waiting to be acknowledged. Animals, nature, every part of this "wholeness" is ready to assist and enlighten us. |

 A wonderful animal story: On one occasion I was talking to a friend by the side of a busy road, and as I was listening to her, I saw a squirrel run across the street and roll under a car, having gotten hit. He lay motionless, so I told my friend I have to go, walked across the street and stopped a van from running over the poor guy, picked him up and walked 10 minutes to a vet. He twitched once, but otherwise, for the whole time, just looked up at me, staring. I thought he was paralyzed. I asked the vet when I got there if they could euthanize him because I worried he was suffering. The vet came out with a box and asked me to put him in there and they'd be right back to get him. I was then alone with him, closed my eyes, did a prayer and asked God to please help him. Then I went to put him in the box and presto! He jumps on all fours in the box. I stand, look down, and say something like 'you had me worried little fella', I think I reached down and petted him again. At this point, he jumps out, runs off around the building. I was stunned... he comes back near me, about 10 feet away for about 15 seconds, like as if to say 'thanks', and at the same time I had the sense he was amazed himself in some way.. then took off. The story is not done, you might not believe this (actually, I think you will), but I swear it's true. A week later, I was near the same vet office and thought 'I wonder if he's still around'. About a block or two away, I went into a building still wondering about him, said hi to a woman there, and at that moment, 10 seconds or so into the building, we both hear a 'patter patter' at the door (like someone knocking softly and fast), and she just says something like 'someone must be knocking'. I hadn't told her about the squirrel yet, she has no idea what happened a week before... she comes back in and says 'someone is knocking for you'. I come outside, sure enough, some 20 feet away is a squirrel running off on business. He actually came up to the door, apparently recognizing me, and letting me know he's there, and thanking me again or something. Wow. Remembering this inspires me. That is one of my most profound experiences. I love nature, I miss connecting with it.. Pierre Q. A Sharing from a Dear Friend: An interesting thing happened once when I was having a walk with my dog, Cin Cin, some years ago. We were doing our usual round, because Cin Cin refuses to change it, when she suddenly stopped to sniff a piece of paper on the street. Now, I don't usually pick up any waste-paper in the streets, but I just couldn't pull my dog away from it. So I turned back and collected it. It was a red paper heart and on the other side, inside a small circle, I read these words: Open your heart, don't be afraid, I will be with you. This paper heart has helped me go through all these years. I still have it in my purse. |
